Supervision for Associate Counselors (LAC)

I have extensive experience supervising new clinicians. In addition to supervising Licensed Associate Counselors (LAC) who are accruing hours for full licensure, I provide Triadic Supervision for practicum students at Fairleigh Dickinson University where I teach the Practicum Seminar. Previously, I spent two years as a site supervisor for Practicum and Internship students from multiple universities while working as a therapist at Daytop Village in Mendham. I understand that the supervisor/supervisee relationship is a complex one. The supervisor must be, by turns, a mentor, a guide, a teacher, a manager, a friend, and sometimes a therapist to the supervisee. It is a role I enjoy and find immensely rewarding.

Clinical Supervision Testimonials

To say that my clinical supervision under Timothy Wever was a welcomed, refreshing experience would be a true understatement. Tim immediately helps you discover areas for personal growth, both clinically and personally, and creates an atmosphere that fosters openness in communication from day one. Tim incorporates his many years of Zen practice into the work which helped me to truly tap into the best way to navigate complex ethical scenarios I found myself in at times. If you are looking for a supervisor who is not only knowledgeable and thorough in their craft, but warm and personable, I recommend Tim Wever highly without any hesitation. Tim truly embodies what an ideal clinical supervisor ought to be and left me feeling 100% supported at every turn during my process.

I am working towards my LPC and as my supervisor, Tim has been extremely helpful during this whole process. From applying to the state licensure board to get my supervision plan approved, to helping me process difficult situations with clients. I feel supported and know that I can go to Tim for assistance when needed. Additionally, Tim is very flexible with scheduling supervision meetings when unforeseen circumstances arise.
